Mike Stothers, IT Infrastructure Director, Core Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center Modernization, Boeing
Mike is the Core Infrastructure Engineering Director in IT Infrastructure. His previous Directorship assignments include: Program Planning, Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Manufacturing Execution Systems, Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Systems, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Engineering Systems, and the Hughes Information Services Director. Before coming to Hughes in 1998, he was the acting director of information technology at the Rocketdyne Division of the Boeing Company. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of California at Davis in 1979, a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Southern California in 1984, and an MBA from UCLA in 2003. Mike is a fellow of the Institute for the Advancement of Engineering. He also is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and is a member of an AIAA technical subcommittee. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Mike now lives in Sammamish WA, with his wife, Vanessa. He has two children, Jennifer and Clayton. Jennifer is an Engine Group Designer at Blue Origin in Kent, WA. Clayton is a Mechanical Engineering at JE Pistons in Irvine, CA. In his leisure time, he enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with his family.
